We only had 4 members including our musical director at the first rehearsal on 12th September which was very disappointing. Obviously there are perfectly valid reasons for not being able to attend but without a sufficient number of players in future, we shall not be able to justify the hire of the hall and the musical director. We may need to move to playing at a member’s home or closing the Cambridge Guitar Orchestra altogether.
Condition 6(c) of the CGO Constitution requires Full Members to make all efforts to attend rehearsals and to notify the Committee of dates they cannot be at. Would you please indicate which of the planned Sunday rehearsals you will be able to attend:-
1. September 26th (also AGM)
2. October 10th
3. October 24th
4. November 21st
5. December 5th
Please let me have your response by Thursday 16th September as the results will affect the Agenda of the AGM.
We shall shortly be sending out information about the AGM which the Constitution says shall be held at the second rehearsal of the Autumn term.
